the leukemia timeline

January 2009: David was admitted to the VGH Leukemia ward. Possible diagnosis: hypereosinophilia.
March 2009: Readmission to hospital and diagnosis of acute leukemia, first round of chemo administered.
March 2009: C-difficile and rare eye virus.
April 2009: Visit home for Easter.
May 2009: Second round of chemo, as outpatient.
June 6, 2009: We got married!
June 10, 2009: Readmission to VGH for bone marrow transplant conditioning (TBI, chemo).
June 17, 2009: Unrelated bone marrow transplant.
July 2009: Graft-vs-Host Disease hits as his new immune system attacked his body.
August 2009: Released from the hospital.
October 2009: Arrived home, David tired but stable.
December 4, 2009: We go to look at a puppy. We fall in love. We take him home. We name him Leuk.


September 2010: I decide to start this blog, events of the last year remembered through update emails and a few 'journal type' entries I wrote during times when nothing seemed to make any sense.
